BHARUCH: Bharuch district collector Avantika Singh on Saturday launched a drive to enroll new voters by making hair cutting shop and beauty parlour owners a part of the awareness campaign. At least 40 shop owners attended the meeting.
Singh said, "The hair cutting shops and beauty parlours are a centre point where almost every young boy or a girl visits frequently.

You should spread the message to the youngsters that they should get their names registered in the voter list. Government employees enroll new voters at the polling stations every Sunday."
Munnabhai Valand of Bharuch said, "We all will display banners to create awareness among people about their voting right at our shops."
Nikhilesh Upadhyay, deputy director, information, said " We are going to take support of all the sections of society.
District collector Avantika Singh's initiatives for enrollment of new voters in the past had been appreciated by the Election Commission of India."
